PM Dahal will inaugurate the Bharatpur Visit Year on March 1

CHITWAN, Feb 29:Chitwan's Bharatpur Metropolitan City has announced that it would formally launch Bharatpur Tour Year 2024 on March 1st.

The Metropolitan City held a press conference on Tuesday to introduce the Bharatpur Visit Year and stated that around 50,000 people will attend the inauguration ceremony.


The city has announced that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda would launch the tour year with the phrase 'Ghumau Bharatpur', and that former prime ministers, chief of state, chief ministers, and legislators will attend the opening ceremony.

Musicians Badri Pangeni, Raju Periyar, Elina Chauhan, and others will perform during the inaugural ceremony, which will also feature numerous cultural tableaus, Metropolitan Chief Renu Dahal announced.

Mayor Dahal said that under the leadership of ward cheif from all 29 wards of the Metropolitan, schools, religious and caste communities, numerous social organizations, civic society, and various castes will engage in cultural tableaus.

To ensure the success of the visit year, Metropolitan Chief Renu Dahal has organized a 2024-member main ceremonial committee, a 7-member steering committee, a 19-member performance committee, an advising committee, and 30 distinct subcommittees.

It is reported that the tourism year was created to promote the metropolis' destinations on a national and international scale, increasing the number of tourists and the length of stay, and achieving economic success through sustainable tourism growth. According to Mayor Dahal, the tourism year is expected to benefit the surrounding areas' economies and tourism sectors.

Bishwa Subedi, a tourism specialist from the metropolis, stated that 51 different activities will be held throughout the year under the leadership of various private sectors and organizations during the Bharatpur visit year.

Bharatpur is expected to get approximately 2 lakh foreign tourists and 5 lakh domestic tourists per year. 22 tourism locations, including seven major tourist destinations in metropolitan centers, have been promoted.

Introducing Bharatpur, city  chief Dahal stated that the visit year is likely to be a significant milestone in the hunt for economic potential and the establishment of an investment climate.

Tourism expert Subedi stated that 7,500 hotels in the metropolitan and 15,000 beds from Sauraha to Gaidakot have been prepared to serve tourists who arrive during the visit year. Hotels and restaurants have publicized discounts for guests visiting during the tourism season, and this practice is ongoing.

Tourism expert Subedi believes that the many activities planned throughout the year would help to establish Chitwan as a tourism and economic hub.

Throughout the year, events such as the International Safari Mart, Jungle Festival, Youth Conference, International Investment Conference, Literary Program, Heritage, Marathon, Seminar Organization, Visits by Ambassadors, Authors, Bloggers, Travel Agencies, Tour Operator Conferences, Workshop Seminars with Expert Groups, and Sports Competitions take place. Tourism specialist Subedi stated that activities like as tourism and environmental awareness days, ethnic cultural programs, and food festivals will take place.
