Prabhu Bank's support to fire victims

KATHMANDU:Prabhu Bank Limited has provided financial assistance to fire victims in Baglung Municipality-12 Amlachaur Dandakhet. On Saturday, the Prabhu Bank Baglung branch provided financial support to four fire victims who lost their homes when a fire broke out in the forest below the house and spread to the settlement.

The families of Yadunath Paudel and Dadiram Paudel, who died in the fire, received a cash check for Rs 21,250. Dilliram Subedi, a member of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly, and Deepak Sharma, Branch Manager of Prabhu Bank Baglung, handed financial aid to the victim's family.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank has made contributions to humanitarian, social, educational, public health, and religious causes. Dilliram Subedi, a member of the Gandaki State Assembly, has also contributed Rs 10,000 to the victim's family. According to Subedi, even a small amount of money can go a long way during natural disasters.

Last Wednesday, a fire that started in the Tunibaet forest of Jaimini municipality-1 Kushmishera spread to the Dandakhet community and caught fire in nearby dwellings. Fire has entirely destroyed one house and one shed in Yadunath.

The fire also claimed the lives of two buffaloes, three cows, and five goats living in his barn. Two Dadiram sheds in the same location were burned down, killing one cow and one goat.

Two of his cows and two buffaloes sustained significant injuries. The victim's family claims that the fire damaged items worth lakhs of rupees. They are now sheltered at their relative's house.
