Global IME Bank organizes walkathon program

KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank Limited organized a nationwide walkathon program on Saturday to mark its 17th anniversary.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank launched a walkathon program in each of the seven provinces' main cities to enhance financial literacy and banking awareness among the general people.

Global IME Bank will enter its 17th year on January 2nd, having completed 16 years of establishment.

More than 1,500 employees participated in the Kathmandu Walkathon, including Chandra Prasad Dhakal, president of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FNCCI) and president of Global IME Bank, as well as members of the bank's board of directors and management.

The bank has established a nationwide presence with 351 branches, 369 ATM counters, 322 branchless units, and 64 extension counters across all 77 districts of Nepal.

Furthermore, the bank has expanded its reach internationally with representative offices in London (UK), New Delhi (India), and Sydney (Australia), maintaining three international contact points.

With a customer base exceeding 4.5 million and a workforce of more than 4,000 employees, Global IME Bank continues to solidify its position as a key player in the banking sector.
