Global IME Bank launches healthy women initiative

KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank Limited has launched the "Meri Unilai Swastha Nari" program as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility on the occasion of its 17th anniversary.

Global Bank will enter its 17th year on Tuesday, Poush 17th (January 2nd). In partnership with the Nepal Family Planning Association, the bank will hold a one-day free women's health camp in each of the seven provinces as part of the campaign.


Women's health check-ups, cervical cancer (VIA) tests, uterine prolapse case treatment, medicine distribution, and other services will be provided free of charge by gynecologists at the camp. In the second phase of the Healthy Women Initiative program, each camp will identify cervical cancer patients with early signs and severe cervical cancer who will be treated surgically.

On the 4th of Poush, Global IME Bank held a successful health camp at Dahkot Health Post in Gaumul Village, Bajura District, Sudurpaschim Province. During the occasion, over 170 ladies had their health checked.

Similarly, the bank will hold camps in the other six provinces during the month of Poush. On Friday, the 13th of Poush, the bank will be open in Gaurigunj Health Chowki, Sharadpur, Ward No. 08, Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Bagmati Province.

Similarly, on Tuesday, Poush 17th, the bank visited Tuesday 17th of January at Chhahra Health Chowki located in Palpa, Rainadevi Chhahra Village Ward No. 3 in Lumbini Province, Zarbutta health post located in Surkhet, Birendranagar municipality ward no 13 in Karnali province, on Wednesday 18th of Poush, Saturday, December 21 at Pokhrebazar Basic School in Gandaki Province, Annapurna Village, Ward No. 6, Myagdi, Saturday, December 28th at the Malate health post located in Ilam municipality ward no 4 in Koshi province, is planning a free health camp for Saturday, Poush 28th.

The bank feels that the health camp will be beneficial to women who live in rural and semi-urban areas and do not have access to health care.

Global IME Bank has prioritized corporate social responsibility since its beginning, holding such health camps at various times and directly benefiting women and ordinary inhabitants in rural areas.
