Indian pilgrim dies of altitude sickness in Muktinath

KATHMANDU, March 19:On Sunday, an Indian pilgrim died of altitude sickness while visiting Muktinath, a religious site in the Himalayan district  of Mustang.

DSP Bhojraj Pandey stated that 83-year-old B Narayan, a native of Hyderabad, India, died of altitude sickness. According to police, two Indian pilgrim died of altitude sickness in the last two weeks while visiting Muktinath.

According to Pandey, he died on Sunday afternoon from breathing problems. A group of 41 Indian pilgrims, including B Narayan, arrived in Mustang last Saturday.

According to the police, the group of indian nationals visited Muktinath on Saturday. B. Narayan, who was staying at the hotel after returning from the temple, developed breathing problems and was transported to the district hospital for treatment. He came to Muktinath with his daughter and relatives. According to the police, the deceased's body has been turned over to his family members.

Earlier, on March 4, another Indian pilgrim who had gone to visit the Muktinath temple died from altitude sickness. The deceased was Bhupendra Bhai Patel, 57, of Gujarat, India.
