Prime Minister announces initiative for commercial International flights in Pokhara

POKHARA, March 18:Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda" has stated that he will start commercial flights from international airlines at Pokhara International Airport.

Prime Minister Prachanda addressed Sunday's function to declare Pokhara as the tourism capital, expressing his commitment to taking the required efforts and coordinating with the relevant parties for commercial flights.


"The government of Nepal will take more initiatives and coordinate to effectively operate the Korola-Triveni border crossing for the cultural and economic development of Pokhara, which is the gateway to the famous religious site Muktinath," he went on to say.

He stated that the necessary coordination and monitoring will be implemented to complete the Madhyapahari public road, which is critical to the development of Gandaki province, as well as to expedite road construction on the Muglin-Pokhara section of the Prithvi Highway.

"Let us all play a role in establishing Pokhara, the capital of tourism, as a unique tourist destination in the world," the prime minister said. "Let us move forward with strong unity and cooperation between the government, the private sector, and civil society in promoting domestic tourism."

Prime Minister Prachanda urged the entire Pokhreli community to take on the specific duties required to bring in tourists in accordance with the aim.
