Department of tourism's ask for work against effects of climate change in Himalayan region

KATHMANDU, Nov 01:The Department of Tourism has asked the Nepal Mountaineering Association to help reduce climate change in the country's Himalayan area. Chakra Bahadur Budha, Director General of the Tourism Department, has requested this of organizations such as the Union of Asian Alpine Associations (UAAA) and the Nepal Mountaineering Association, which play a special role in the Himalayan region and promote mountain climbing tourism in the country.

In the Nepal Mountaineering Association's special general meeting on Tuesday, he appealed to work against the effects of climate change. With global temperatures rising, there is growing concern about the harmful effects of climate change in the Himalayan region. As a result, he stated that the connected groups should collaborate.

Climate change is hurting the Himalayan countries globally. I would want to propose that the Union of Asian Alpine Association keep its influence in our country under control. "To combat climate change, we must all speak with one voice," said Director General Budha.

He stated that the Nepal Mountaineering Association, which was founded 50 years ago, has made a significant contribution to the country's tourism sector as well as the Himalayan region.

Similarly, in addition to the need for experienced labor for climbing tourism, Nima Nuru Sherpa, president of the NMA, believes that cooperation between the government and the private sector is required to reduce pollution in the Himalayan region.

The Himalayan region and the communities that live there play an important role in the tourism industry. Keeping this in mind, we need to preserve the Himalayan region's ecology clean," President Sherpa stated, adding, "Because Nepal has numerous high mountains, there is good potential for tourism." We must continue the commercial campaign with this in mind.

The Department's Director General Budha, Peter Muir, President of the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation, Dr. In-Jeong Lee, President of the UAAA, Nima Nuru Sherpa, President of the Nepal Mountaineering Association, and others were present.
