TAAN Gandaki submits seven suggestions to Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote Nepalese tourism

POKHARA, Jan 5:The Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) Gandaki has submitted seven suggestions to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
TAAN, led by TAAN Gandaki President Krishna Prasad Acharya, has stated that foreign diplomatic missions play a important role in promoting Nepalese tourism, export trade, and investment.
TAAN Gandaki has underlined the necessity to develop strategic plans to promote Nepal's natural, cultural, and adventure tourism on a global scale, as well as to carry out tourist promotion programs in partnership and coordination with foreign missions.
TAAN has proposed inviting worldwide media and tourist professionals to showcase the importance of Nepal's trekking industry on the occasion of the Mountaineering Day of prominent mountains such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Everest.
In addition, it has been suggested that excellent brochures, movies, and digital materials promoting Nepal on the international arena be developed and sent to stakeholders around the world via diplomatic missions.
The recommendation letter suggests that particular efforts be made to involve chiefs of foreign diplomatic missions in Nepal in major festivals, mountaineering days, and tourism marketing events hosted in Nepal.
TAAN Gandaki has called for greater collaboration between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nepal Tourism Board in order to develop a tourism promotion center and make Nepal's tourism more effective on the world stage.
It has been suggested that a specific campaign be started to attract foreign investment in the tourism sector, as well as programs to introduce export-oriented commodities such as Nepali handicrafts and agricultural products into the international market.
TAAN Gandaki stated that different tourist promotion initiatives have already been performed in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nepal tourist Board, and that they intend to continue this collaboration in the future.
