Nepal wins Best Adventure Destination Award at OTM in Mumbai

KATHMANDU, Feb 04:Nepal received the prestigious "Best Adventure Destination" award at Outbound Travel Mart (OTM) 2025 in recognition of its outstanding adventure tourism offerings. 

This recognition strengthens Nepal's reputation as a premier destination for adventure seekers and environment lovers alike.

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) successfully represented Nepal at the OTM held in Mumbai from January 30 to February 1, 2025. 

As one of the largest international travel exhibitions in India, OTM provided a premier platform for Nepal to enhance its visibility as a top travel destination for Indian outbound tourists. NTB participated alongside 28 leading Nepali travel companies, collectively promoting Nepal’s diverse tourism offerings.

The event, held at the world-class Jio World Convention Centre, was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of Tourism and Culture. OTM 2025 brought together exhibitors from over 80 countries and 30 Indian states, showcasing a vast array of destinations, innovations, and travel experiences to a global audience.

Nepal’s pavilion at OTM facilitated valuable business networking, fostering direct connections between Nepali tourism stakeholders, Indian travel professionals, and international counterparts. The participating Nepali travel companies offered a variety of travel packages tailored to the diverse interests of Indian tourists, including leisure tours, cultural and spiritual experiences, and adventure-packed treks. Nepal’s unique blend of nature, culture, adventure, and warm hospitality captured significant attention, reflecting the country’s growing appeal among Indian travelers seeking meaningful and enriching travel experiences.

As international travel demand continues to rise in India, Nepal is well-positioned to attract a larger share of the outbound market. The tourism sector remains optimistic about increasing visitor numbers in 2025, driven by stronger partnerships with Indian travel trade professionals and ongoing efforts to enhance visitor experiences in Nepal. With seamless air connectivity between major Indian cities and Kathmandu, Nepal continues to stand out as a convenient and attractive destination for Indian travelers.
