Hotel Executives Club Pokhara honors hotelier Basanta Gautam

POKHARA, Feb 01:The Hotel Executive Club (HEC) Pokharahas been honored Basanta Gautam, Chairman of Temple Tree Resort and Spa. Gautam was honored during the club's 11th annual general meeting. Gautam was honored for his significant contribution to job creation in Pokhara by running restaurants and hotels for a long time.

Gautam was presented with a certificate of honor and a shawl by the founding president of the Hotel Association Pokhara, Haridhwaj Tulachan; President of the Hotel Association Pokhara, Laxman Subedi; President of the Pokhara Tourism Council, Taranath Pahari; and President of the Hotel Executive Club Pokhara, Rajkumar KC.

Gautam has been engaged in the tourism industry in Pokhara since 1994. Gautam, who established his first business in the restaurant sector, currently operates the Temple Tree Resort and Cafe Concerto Restaurant in Lakeside. He is the president of the Temple Tree Resort in Lakeside and the owner of the Cafe Concerto Restaurant.

The founding chairman of the Hotel Association POkhara, Haridhwaj Tulachan, stated that while the number of hotels has increased in recent years, everyone should focus on increasing the number of tourists.

Speaking at the ceremony, Laxman Subedi, President of the Pokhara Hotel Association, stated that despite increased investment in the tourism industry, hospitality is dropping. He argued that the practice of hospitality should not be abandoned in order to introduce Nepali traditions to foreign tourists.

Given the significant investment in Pokhara tourism, Taranath Pahari, the chairman of the Pokhara Tourism Council, called for the immediate operation of international flights from Pokhara in order to increase tourists.

Basanta Gautam, who was honored during the event, stated that while hotels and restaurants have been added to Pokhara, there is a lack of necessary manpower.

During the program, club chairman Rajkumar KC, coordinator Tulsi Lamichhane, director Madhav Baral, and others stated that the club should continue forward with the goal of providing quality service.

So far, the club has honored Hari Poudel, owner of Hotel Barahi, and Hari Gair, owner of Pokhara Resort.
