NATTA Lumbini Province demands to establishment base for 'narrow-body' aircrafts at GBIA
BHAIRAHAWA, Jan 28:Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA) Lumbini Province has demanded the establishment of a base for ‘narrow-body’ aircrafts at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa.
NATTA has concluded that the Bhairahawa base will be sustainable only if narrow-body aircraft are operated for China, Buddhist countries, and Gulf countries as labor destinations. The workshop held in Butwal came to this conclusion, according to a press release issued today.
The press release issued jointly by the organization’s President Chandra Bahadur Thapa and General Secretary Sita Basyal has demanded that the government make a more effective plan for the operation of Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa.
Similarly, NATTA has also demanded that at least one aircraft of all domestic airlines be announced with incentives and that daily inter-provincial air connectivity flights be arranged for a fixed period.
Similarly, it has also demanded that a passenger-friendly policy be adopted by announcing bus and hotel facilities for international air passengers. The list of tourism programs to be held throughout the year has been determined through the planning workshop and fellowship program, the press release states.
It is stated that various thematic committees have also been formed with the participation of 50 travel entrepreneurs through the workshop and fellowship program hosted by Lumbini Province Tourism Council member Madhav Nepal.
