Jazeera Airways and Thai Air Asia to resume regular flights to GBIA
KATHMANDU, Jan 23:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) Director General Pradeep Adhikari stated that Jazeera Airways and Thai AirAsia will resume regular flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) on February 3.
Speaking to the Public Policy and Delegated Legislation Committee on Tuesday, he stated that these two airlines will resume regular operations.
He stated that Nepal Airlines and Fly Dubai continue to operate flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport.
According to Director General Adhikari, Himalaya Airlines is taking the initiative to launch Pokhara-Lhasa flights from Pokhara International Airport.
He stated that the operation of air flights will be tied to the country's GDP, and that the number of people using other airports as an alternative to Tribhuvan International Airport will decline as long as it is voluntary.
He stated both Gautam Buddha International Airport and Pokhara airports will be fully functioning if they follow through on a vow to provide all amenities within 500 meters for those traveling overseas.
The government has recently passed an action plan for Pokhara and Bhairahawa, as well as programs in a variety of industries. We have five flights in this regard. We have five flights in total. Director General Adhikari stated that Nepal Airlines and Fly Dubai now flying there, while Jazeera Airways and Thai AirAsia plan to do so on a regular basis beginning February 3.
