Nepal Mountain Academy's first mountain bike guide training concluded

KATHMANDU, Jan 22:Nepal Mountain Academy's first mountain bike guide training course has been concluded. The training began on January 3 at Tribhuvan University's Central Department of Population Studies and concluded on January 22.

Dolma Lama, the event's coordinator, stated that the training was planned to develop Nepal as a prominent mountain biking destination and to create employment opportunities in adventure tourism. The training involved 24 trainees. Out of 30 applications for the course, 24 were chosen via interviews. Coordinator Lama stated that only capable and eager participants were chosen for the program.

According to Coordinator Lama, the training covered information on introduction to mountain biking, mountain bike guide traditions, trends, and standards, professional risk management techniques, basic knowledge of mountain bike handling skills and maneuvers, advanced mountain bike skills, basic knowledge of mechanical skills, cycling tour leadership development, route diversity, planning and navigation, safety and emergency management, green tourism approach, knowledge of

Bimal Thakuri, Bagmati Minister of Culture and Tourism, distributed certificates to the trainees during the concluding ceremony.
