Nepal is an excellent destination for foreign tourists to visit: Khadka, Minister for Energy

KATHMANDU, Jan 22:Deepak Khadka, Minister for Energy, Water Resources, and Irrigation, stated that Nepal is an excellent destination for international tourists. Minister Khadka made the statement while announcing the 'Visit Nepal Year 2025' and launching the 'Chinese New Year 2025', which were coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, the Chinese Embassy, Bhaktapur Municipality, and the Nepal Tourism Board.

At the event, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song stated that the Chinese New Year 2025 will boost connections between the two countries. He stated that collaboration and exchange between Nepal and China are swiftly progressing, and that an agreement has been reached to continue the generations-long friendship. He stated that the Visit Nepal Year 2025 was organized to carry out the agreement between the two countries.

At the event, Bhaktapur Municipality Mayor Sunil Prajapati stated that it is everyone's job to make the Visit Nepal Year 2025, which China has declared to promote Nepali tourism and encourage Chinese tourists to visit Nepal, a success. He stated that Chinese visitors are the second largest group of foreign tourists visiting Bhaktapur. 

Speaking at the ceremony, Nepal Tourism Board Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi said that the government has declared 2025 as a special tourism year.
