National Rafting Championship 2081 to be organized to promote adventure tourism sport

POKHARA, Jan 22:The Province Sports Council of Gandaki has announced the 'National Rafting Championship 2081' to promote adventure tourism sport.

According to the council, the competition will be take place on January 29 and 30.

The competition will take place between Fisling in Ichhakamana Rural Municipality and Devghat. The council has also invited interested teams to join in the competition.

The council has said that participants in the competition  would be manage for their own sports equipment,  including life jackets, helmets, paddles, and rafts. All competing teams' players must be swimmers. The consumption of alcohol is banned.

It is specified that each team should have seven players. The winner of the competition will get cash, medals, and certificates.

Previously, rafting was viewed solely as an adventure tourism activity.
