Massive conference to be conducted to address tourism and airlines issues
KATHMANDU, Jan 09:Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has said that a massive conference will be held shortly to address current tourism and airline issues.
In a meeting of the House of Representatives' International Relations and Tourism Committee last Thursday, he stated that he intends to convene a massive conference of all stakeholders to address pressing issues in tourism and aviation.
"We are holding a massive conference for discussions to resolve problems ranging from problems in the tourism sector to airlines, and we expect the support and cooperation of the committee in this," Pandey said. "We are examining the routine operations of the Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports. After some agencies arrive, the two airports will be regularly run."
He also stated that two stakeholder meetings had been organized to connect the three levels of government for the development of the tourist industry.
He stated that the tourism and cultural policy is nearing completion, and that the civil aviation bill has been approved by the Council of Ministers.
Dr. Ganesh Prasad Pandey, Secretary of the Ministry, stated that the work could not be completed as planned due to constraints in capital, technology, and labor.
