Global IME Bank announces to plantation 18,000 trees on the occasion of its 18th anniversary

KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank Limited has announced that it will plant 18,000 trees in the current fiscal year as part of its corporate social responsibility to mark its 18th anniversary.

Global IME Bank concluded 18 years of establishment and entered its 19th year on Thursday, Poush 18. The bank has indicated that it will plant 18,000 trees across the country in partnership with local organizations/institutions during the current fiscal year.

Surendra Raj Regmi, the bank's Chief Executive Officer, inaugurated the campaign by planting numerous trees on the bank's office premises in Anamnagar to commemorate the bank's anniversary. At the event, the bank's Chief Executive Officer Regmi said that the tree planting program will continue throughout the current fiscal year, with 18,000 trees planted at opportune periods.

Trees are a vital part of natural conservation. Tree planting contributes to environmental balance, vegetation preservation, landslide prevention, and water resource conservation, he stated.

Suman Pokharel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the bank, and other high-level executives attended the program.

The bank has said that it is regularly supporting numerous social activities as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Global IME Bank has stated that it provides excellent service to its customers through more than 1,100 service centers, which include 354 branch offices, 384 ATMs, 237 branchless banking services, 68 extension and revenue collection counters, and three foreign representative offices in all 77 districts of the country.

The bank has also provided remittance services from various countries of the world. The bank has stated that it has been working to receive remittances from the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, Jordan and other countries.
