KATHMANDU, Jan 01: Fairfield by Marriott Kathmandu, Thamel, has further solidified its reputation as a pioneer in sustainability with the installation of solar panels across its property. Known for its eco-conscious initiatives, the hotel’s latest step underlines its commitment to reducing its carbon footprint while setting an example for sustainable tourism in the region. This move aligns seamlessly with Marriott International's “Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction” program, which emphasizes creating positive environmental and social impacts.  

Hotel Manager Neeraj Lumb highlighted the balance Fairfield seeks between exceptional guest experiences and environmental responsibility, while Owner Gaurav Aggarwal reinforced that sustainability remains at the core of the hotel’s operations. Over the years, Fairfield has stood out in Thamel not just as a haven for visitors but also as a champion of philanthropic efforts, including community engagement initiatives and the adoption of green practices.  

As part of its ambitious goals for 2025, Fairfield plans to expand eco-friendly operations, involve guests in sustainability activities, and collaborate with local organizations for environmental workshops and tree-planting drives.
