CAAN honors Buddha Air

KATHMANDU, Jan 01:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has  honored Buddha Air, which provides domestic air services. The CAAN honored Buddha Air during its 26th annual celebration.

It was honored for serving the most passengers on trunk sector flights and paying the highest aviation taxes to the CAAN. Badri Pandey, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, and Engineer Pradeep Adhikari, Director General of the CAAN, honored Buddha Air with a letter of honor.

Buddha Air has a market share of more than 60% for domestic flights. Buddha Air has been operating domestic flights from Kathmandu and Pokhara.

At the same ceremony, the CAAN honored Summit Air for serving the largest number of passengers on STOL sector flights and paying the highest aviation fees to the CAAN. Similarly, Air Dynasty received honored in the helicopter sector.
