Bandipur Visit Year 2025 announced
KATHMANDU, Dec 31:Bandipur Rural Municipality of Tanahun has announced 'Bandipur Visit Year 2025' to promote tourism.
Bandipur Rural Municipality Chairman Surendra Bahadur Thapa stated that the rural municipality has announced the visit year with the goal of promoting economic activity by attracting as many tourists as possible to Bandipur.
'The visit year has been announced with the goal of boosting the number of tourists arriving in Bandipur to two hundred thousand every year,' stated Chairman Thapa. 'We will host a variety of programs throughout the year to attract tourists.'
To ensure the success of the visit year, the rural municipality formed a 21-member secretariat coordinated by tourist entrepreneur Baish Gurung. The secretariat includes representatives from the Hotel Association, Restaurant and Bar Association (REBAN), Tourism Development Committee, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Homestay Federation, among others.
Secretariat Coordinator Gurung stated that promotional programs will be held with the goal of attracting one hundred thousand domestic tourists and one hundred thousand foreign tourists to Bandipur. 'We intend to accommodate one hundred thousand domestic and one hundred thousand foreign tourists in Bandipur annually during the visit year,' he said.
According to Gurung, the average length of stay for tourists during the visit year would be three days, with international tourists spending 75 US dollars and Nepali tourists spending 3,000 rupees per day.
Bandipur Rural Municipality now operates 120 hotels and 12 homestays. It has a daily capacity of 1,700 persons.
The rural municipality plans to invest 44.35 million rupees to make the visit year a success.
