Jungle safari opens in Banke National Park

BANKE, Dec 29:The Jungle safari has been opened in Banke National Park.

The safari opened after clearing bushes around the forest route inside the park and identifying the places where tiger sightings, according to the park's information officer, Mandeep Pangeni.

He stated that private automobiles will not be allowed to access the park. The vehicle can carry up to ten passengers on the forest safari, and the vehicle owner must pay a one-time fee of Rs 2,500.

According to information officer Pangeni, guests visiting the park can purchase safari tickets from the park headquarters in Overi and the sector office in Kohalpur. Tourists can watch wildlife in the park area through safaris, which include tigers, leopards, chitals, chaukas, and wild boars.

He stated that infrastructure such as scaffolding, grasslands, artificial ponds, and forest route have been built in various locations for wildlife viewing.

He informed me that a survey is being undertaken with cameras to locate the tiger's habitat. The survey will reveal specific information about the number of tigers, their habitat, and the status of prey species.

Banke National Park was established in 2010 AD as Nepal's youngest national park, spanning 550 square kilometers over Banke, Dang, and Salyan.
