Emphasis on the possibility of promoting tourism through cooperation between Nepal Tourism Board and Embassy

KATHMANDU, Dec 20:The Nepal Tourism Board has conducted an interaction with the proposed Nepali ambassadors from various countries. The interaction was held on Wednesday at the Nepal Tourism Board with the goal of discussing and exchanging ideas on how embassies, the board, and tourism professionals can work together effectively to promote Nepali tourism internationally.

During the interaction, the recommended ambassadors from various countries underlined the need of collaboration between the board and embassies in promoting Nepalese tourism. They stated that they will make every effort to promote Nepal's natural beauty, cultural legacy, and adventure tourism opportunities, and that the board's collaboration is required for effective promotion of Nepal. During the program, Dr. Ganesh Prasad Panda, Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, and Chairman of the Tourism Board, stated that they will coordinate the necessary promotional materials for the embassies and international programs.

Ram Prasad Sapkota (Kamal), Vice-Chairman of the Board, stated that this is anticipated of the ambassadors, and that promoting Nepal as an all-season destination will enhance visitor arrivals. Deepak Raj Joshi, Executive Chief of the Board, provided an update on the Nepal Tourism Board's activities and stated that the board is always willing to collaborate.

Proposed Nepali Ambassadors Dr. Shankar Sharma (India), Prof. Dr. Kapil Shrestha (South Africa), Chitralekha Yadav (Australia), Sumnima Tuladhar (Denmark), Sewa Lamsal (Belgium and European Union), Netra Prasad Timilsena (Malaysia), Jung Bahadur Chauhan (Russia), Sunil Nepal (Spain), Purna Bahadur Nepali (Sri Lanka), Prakashmani Poudel (Portugal), and others expressed their commitment to work for the benefit of Nepal and Nepalis, as tourism is an important economic 

The program was attended by the chairmen of several organizations, including the Hotel Association Nepal (HAN), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), SKAL International Nepal, Nepal Rafting Agencies (NARA), Society of Travel and Tour Operators Nepal (SOTTO Nepal), and Tourism Sisterhood Nepal Association (TSNA).
