Bhaktapur Festival begins

BHAKTAPUR, Dec 14:The Bhaktapur Festival program has started organized by the Bhaktapur Municipality. The festival, which started on December 13, will continue until December 17.

Various activities will be held in 32 places selected by the municipality during the festival. Local folks will also continue to hold a variety of exciting activities in Bhaktapur's squares and streets.

Mayor Sunil Prajapati stated that the Bhaktapur Festival was arranged to attract both domestic and foreign tourists.

The festival's main attractions include cultural programs, Paubha and photo exhibitions, painting, traditional dress exhibitions, food festivals, traditional thread dyeing, Dipankar Buddha exhibition, Navadurga exhibition, educational exhibition, boating, and a lively exhibition of traditional and new clay art products.

Similarly, traditional sports exhibitions and competitions, Newar lifestyle activity exhibitions, yogurt festivals, Buddhist publications, cooperative activity exhibitions, child-friendly activities and cultural programs, commercial exhibitions of agricultural products, lively exhibitions of home products and handicrafts, trade fairs, book exhibitions, exhibitions related to Buddha statues and Buddhist philosophy.
