Legal procedure to form a permanent commission to look into aviation mishaps progressed: Tourism Minister Pandey

KATHMANDU, Dec 08:Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey has said that safe and regular skies are the first priority of Nepalis.

At a program organized here on the occasion of International Civil Aviation Day, Minister Pandey emphasized on safe and regular flight operations.

He said that the trend of working on impulses rather than facts and figures has increased in recent times, and working on impulses has led to accidents in the country.

On the occasion of International Civil Aviation Day, he said that the legal process for the formation of a permanent commission to investigate air accidents has progressed.

Minister Pandey expressed confidence that the problems seen in Nepali skies will be resolved to some extent after the formation of the commission.

He said that the problems seen in the aviation sector will be resolved even if the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) can cooperate.
