Rt. Hon. Prime Minister flies by Himalaya to Beijing

KATHMANDU, Dec 02:Himalaya operated a special, diplomatic flight for the official visit of the Right Honorable Prime Minister, Mr. K.P. Sharma Sharma Oli, accompanied by Madam Radhika Shakya. The Right Honorable Prime Minister is leading a high-level delegation, to Beijing, the capital city of the People’s Republic of China on December 02, 2024. 

Minister for Foreign Affairs Hon. Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba, Chief Advisor to the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Mr. Bishnu Prasad Rimal, Economic/Development Advisor to the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada, Members of the Parliament, Chief Secretary Mr. Ek Narayan Aryal, senior governmental officials and industry representatives accompanied the Right Honorable Prime Minister. 

President of Himalaya Airlines Mr. Zhou Enyong was on board to welcome the Right Honorable Prime Minister, Madam Shakya and the delegates. Vice President -Administration, Mr. Vijay Shrestha was present on the occasion to bid farewell to the Prime Ministerial Delegation. 

The entourage is scheduled to return to Nepal from Beijing on December 5, 2024, by Himalaya’s Airbus 319 - 9N-AJK.

After the flight, Mr. Shrestha remarked "It is a great honor for us to be given this opportunity to serve the nation by operating special flight for the official travel of the Head of the Government. We are thankful to the Government of Nepal that we had such opportunities of conducting special flights for the Head of the Government and high dignitaries of the country in past also. We also want to recollect operating a humanitarian flight to Kabul, some time ago, at the request of the Government of Nepal.  

The flight was operated by a senior crew including Captain Hao Di (as the pilot in command, Vice President – Operations) and Captain Riwaj Prasad Pradhan and First Officer Sagar Shrestha. Airbus A319 with Nepal Registration 9N-AJK was airborne from Tribhuvan International Airport at 11:16 hours (Nepal Standard Time) and landed at Beijing Capital International Airport at 18:03 hours (China local time).
