Pawan Kumar Khadka appointed CEO of IME Life Insurance

KATHMANDU:Pawan Kumar Khadka has been appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of IME Life Insurance Company.

Khadka, who left Suryajyoti Life Insurance Company a few days ago, has been appointed Chief Executive Officer by the board of directors for a four-year term.

Khadka, who has gained about 18 years of experience in banking, financial institutions, and the corporate sector, started his journey as CEO of the former Suryajyoti Life Insurance Company.

He became the CEO of Suryajyoti Life in BS 2078. After the merger of the former Surya Life and Jyoti Life in Poush 2079, he became the Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer. After about two years after the merger, he left the company and chose IME Life.

Khadka, who is considered effective in his profession, studied Chartered Accountants in the United Kingdom. He has also worked for Nepal Life Insurance and has over 18 years of experience in production and processing, hydro, education, auditing, financial consulting, and other industries. He became CEO after serving in the insurance company's senior management for more than six years.

This time, IME Life selected the CEO through an open competition. For Khadka, the challenge is to expand IME Life's brand and reach.
