Tantalizing Thakali Khana: A Taste of Tradition at Nance Hotel in Bhairahawa
BHAIRAHAWA, Dec 02:The four-star Nance Hotel in Bhairahawa has started serving Thakali khana (meal)set. The Thakali khana (meal) set has been started for Rs 550.
The Thakali Khana set will contain Bhaat (rice), Dal (lentil soup steeped in jimbu), goat/chicken meat, soybean and gundruk pickle, Mustang alu, green seasonal vegetables, bitter gourd and radish pickle, salad, ghee, and curd, according to the hotel's general manager, Sunil Shrestha.
"More and more people are going to hotels and restaurants in Bhairahawa to eat Thakali food. Keeping this in mind, Nance Hotel has also started serving Thakali food," Shrestha said. ‘
According to GM Shrestha, he believes that both domestic and foreign tourists will gradually prefer Thakali khana. "Some foreign tourists have already eaten Thakali khana here, which has shown a desire among foreigners for Nepali Thakali khana,". Shrestha informed that Hotel Nance aims to branding Thakali cuisine in Bhairahawa.
The Nanse Hotel was the first three-star hotel in Rupandehi when it opened in 2010, and following upgrades and room additions, the Department of Tourism recognized it as a four-star hotel about three years ago. In addition, the hotel operates a casino. The 60-room hotel also includes a swimming pool, seminar hall, restaurant, coffee shop, and other amenities.
