Global IME Bank provides Rs 2 million for construction of electric crematorium in Kohalpur

KATHMANDU:Global IME Bank has contributed Rs 2 million towards the construction of an electric cremation in Kohalpur Municipality. During a ceremony, the bank's Lumbini Province Chief Shanta Siwakoti presented the aid to Sangita Subedi, the Acting Mayor of Kohalpur Municipality.

Acting Mayor Subedi stated that an electric crematorium is being built at the confluence of Duduwa Khola and Rohini Khola in Ward No. 11 of Kohalpur Municipality to provide simple, convenient, and low-cost electric cremation for Kohalpur Municipality residents and the surrounding areas.

Furthermore, the bank's Lumbini Province Chief, Shanta Siwakoti, stated that the bank is certain that its cooperation will lessen the environmental impact.

The bank is working by selecting various initiatives for its corporate social responsibility.
