GBIA to be continue operation int’l flights: Minister Pandey
BHAIRAHAWA, Nov 26: Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, has stated that the government is dedicated to operating Gautam Buddha Airport.
Minister Pandey promised not to halt international flights after businesspeople raised concerns during an engagement session on the long-term functioning of Gautam Buddha International Airport conducted by the Siddhartha Chamber of Commerce and Industry Rupandehi in Bhairahawa on Saturday.
Minister Pandey stated that Gautam Buddha Airport will be handy for passengers because it is located in the center of Nepal and close to Lumbini, Buddha's birthplace.
'I'll come to Bhairahawa twice a month for the airport,' he explained. 'Since culture and tourism are linked, we are attempting to run our office from Bhairahawa.'
He stated that he is devoted to operating this airport because it is situated between Mechi Mahakali and is close to Lumbini and Pokhara.
He stated that a decision was reached in the month of Shrawan to establish airport-related offices, such as labor, visa, medical, and manpower companies.
Minister Pandey further stated that a prime minister-level meeting will be held soon, and that implementation will proceed.
He stated come to Lumbini to conduct regular flights to Gautam Buddha International Airport and improve the Lumbini Development Trust.
According to him, the airport's immediate tasks, as well as technical and long-term tasks, will be identified.
