Sri Lankan Airlines slashes airfares

KATHMANDU, Nov 26:Sri Lankan Airlines, which operates regular flights to Nepal, has slashed its fares.

According to the company's sales manager, Deepak Mainali, fares have been slashed by 5 to 20% on both the Sri Lanka-Kathmandu-Sri Lanka and Kathmandu-Maldives-Kathmandu routes. He stated that the decreased fares will be effective from December 22 to 31.

He stated that the airline has chosen to decrease charges at the request of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) and the Government of Nepal.
