Gandaki ministers and entrepreneurs urged Oli to start regular international flights to Pokhara
KATHMANDU, Nov 22:Ministers from the Gandaki Province government and local tourism entrepreneurs have asked Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to start regular international flights to Pokhara.
On Tuesday, a delegation from Gandaki, led by Minister of Industry and Tourism Mitralal Basyal, visited Singhadurbar and requested that Prime Minister Oli launch regular international flights to Pokhara.
Minister Basyal stated that international planes are required to increase the number of tourists visiting Pokhara, the tourism capital of Gandaki region. He called the Prime Minister's attention to declaring Pokhara the country's tourism capital.
Basyal led a delegation that included Gokarna Karki, president of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Taranath Pahadi, president of the Pokhara Tourism Council.
Prime Minister Oli assured that he will initiate regular international flights to Pokhara and request China to increase tourists during his upcoming visit to China.
