Nabil Bank becomes highest taxpayer among banks for eighth time

KATHMANDU:Nabil Bank has been honored as the highest-taxpaying bank.

On National Tax Day, the government honors taxpayers who pay the highest taxes, and Nabil Bank Limited has received this honor eight times from the banking, financial institutions, and insurance company sectors.

This year, too, Nabil Bank received a certificate for being the greatest tax-paying bank in fiscal year 2079/80.

Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel honored Nabil Bank with a certificate at a special event held on Saturday at the Inland Revenue Department.Sujit Kumar Shakya, Senior Deputy Chief Executive Officer, accepted the award on behalf of Nabil Bank at the event.

Every year, the Government of Nepal  honors organizations and individuals who pay most taxes in a various categories, including financial institutions. Nabil bank previously received the title of the highest tax-paying bank based on the fiscal years 2067/68, 2070/71, 2071/72, 2073/74, 2075/76, 2076/77, and 2077/78.

Nabil services more than 2.4 million customers with 268 branches and 320 ATMs across the country.
