Inland Revenue Department honors Taragaon Regency Hotels for paying highest tax from tourism sector
KATHMANDU,Nov 20:Taragaon Regency Hotels (Hyatt Regency Kathmandu) Limited has been honored by the Inland Revenue Department.
The department has honored the hotel as the best tax payer for paying the highest tax to the government from the tourism sector.
The hotel in Bouddha has 303 rooms and is managed by the multinational company Hyatt. The hotel was honored for paying the highest income tax in the tourism sector throughout the fiscal years 2071/72, 2073/74, 2074/75, 2075/76, and 2076/77.
The hotel, which was built on the concept of a cultural center to reflect Nepali art and style, came into operation from the year 2000. More than 300 individuals work at the hotel.
