Fung funge Waterfall Tourism Fair to be held from November 7

TAPLEJUNG, Nov 19:A 'Fung Funge Waterfall Tourism Fair' will be held in the name of the beautiful Fung Funge waterfall in Mikwakhola Rural Municipality Sanwa, Taplejung. A tourism fair will be held from the 22nd to the 25th of November to promote this underutilized tourist attraction.

According to the Fung Funge Waterfall Tourism Development Committee, the goal is to create a hub for both foreign and local tourists by promoting the magnificent location, especially the Fung Funge Waterfall, through the tourism expo. Bijay Sanwa, head of the development committee, announced that the tourism fair will feature sports, cultural performances, and other activities.

Bhakta Bahadur Karki, chairman of Mikwakhola Rural Municipality, stated that the fair was organized to promote tourism in the area, especially the Fung Funge waterfall.

In the year 2045, a fair was started at the waterfall site under the name of Fung Funge Youth Fair. Although the fair continued until 2052, it was closed during the conflict period, informed Sanwa, the chairman of the committee. Sanwa said that after 29 years, as a continuation of the same fair, it is going to be organized under the name of Fung Funge Waterfall Tourism Fair.
