Dusit Princess Kathmandu Celebrates Tradition with Annual Cake-Mixing
KATHMANDU, Nov 18:Dusit Princess Kathmandu welcomed the spirits of celebration last Friday with its Annual Cake-Mixing Ceremony, which drew in an impressive array of esteemed guests. The list of dignitaries present at the event included the Thai Ambassador to Nepal, H.E. Suwapong Sirisorn, and CEO of Dusit International, Suphajee Suthumpun.
The ceremonial mix of fruits, spices, and spirits was followed by a curated Nepali-Thai lunch with live music and beverages. Cluster General Manager Samir Banerjee expressed his gratitude: "This ceremony reflects our commitment to fostering community, honoring traditions, and spreading joy. It is a privilege to have such eminent guests join us in welcoming the season of celebration."
The ceremonial event, which lasted an hour, was symbolic of the age-old tradition of prosperity and good luck as it brought under one roof influencers, diplomats, media personalities, and other distinguished guests. The mixture prepared during the event at the hotel will be used to make special cakes for Christmas and New Year, according to Prathana Sen, the marketing manager of the hotel. "The Cake-Mixing Ceremony is a symbol of prosperity and good luck. Guests will also receive the mixture as a token of love," Sen said.
