Jazeera Airways CEO Barathan meets Lumbini Development Trust Vice President Dr. Lama

BHAIRAHAWA, Nov 13:Barathan Pasupathi, CEO of Jazeera Airways, met with Dr. Lharkyal Lama (Khenpo Chimed Tsering), Vice President of the Lumbini Development Trust, in Lumbini.

During the discussion, the question of flying tourists to Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautama Buddha, was discussed. Vice President Lama thanked  Airways for launching flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa.

CEO Barathan pledged to try his utmost to bring Lumbini to Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world at a discounted rates. He suggested that, while the start of flights is encouraging, efforts be made to offer basic amenities such as labor and health screening for persons departing for international jobs on regular flights from Bhairahawa.

The Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Basudev Ghimire, who participated the meeting, stated that efforts are being made to provide all required facilities for persons seeking international employment as soon as feasible.

The meeting was attended by Jazeera Airways' Nepal representative, Rupandehi's security chiefs, and airlines employees.
