Thaneshwar Devkota, president of TURGAN, stated that action had been taken against the guide who did not obtain a tourist guide permission and did not renew the license even after receiving it.
He stated that one tour operator who operated without a permit was arrested and handed over to the police.
Turgan, in collaboration with tourist police, has been inspecting unauthorized tour guides at several locations throughout Kathmandu Valley, including Pashupatinath, Swayambhu, Patan, Bhaktapur, and Basantapur Durbar.
During these inspections, the team detained tour guides for up to two hours and issued warnings to those who did not have permits or had not renewed their licenses.
