Tikapur Airport to have regular flights after festivals
BANKE, Oct 29: Test flights were carried out at Tikapur Airport on Monday.
The aircraft 9N ABU of Nepal Airlines and 9N AEV of Tara Air made test flights in the morning.
On the occasion, Minister of State for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Arun Kumar Chaudhary said that regular flights would be operated immediately after the Tihar festival. Flights would also be made to the airports in the hilly districts of the Sudurpaschim Province.
The airport was first brought into operation in 2041 BS and made regular flights for the first three years.
Twelve persons including NAC Captain Manish Bista, Ujjawal Silwal, NAC Manager Gyanendra Bhul, Engineer Samrat Pradhan, Surendra Prasad Yadav, Yubraj Rijal, Airhostess Dimpal Bhattarai and Air Traffic Controller Raju Mahato were onboard the plane.
