Govt handed over Central Zoo to National Nature Conservation Trust

KATHMANDU, Oct 24:The National Nature Conservation Trust will operate Central Zoo in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, following a decision by the Council of Ministers.

This decision was decided at a Cabinet meeting held on Friday. Previously, the National Nature Conservation Trust was solely responsible for the zoo's management.

Central Zoo was founded in 1993 BS, under the direction of then-Prime Minister Juddha Shamser JB Rana.
