Talented English Wicket Keeper & Batsman Tom Moores Signs for Lumbini Lions
KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions Club, a prestigious cricket franchise in the Nepal Premier League (NPL) 2024, has proudly announced the signing of talented English wicket keeper & batsman Tom Moores. Having played both first-class and A-list cricket with flair since 2016, Moores is set to join the league starting from November 30 of the Nepal Premier League. The 28-year-old has been making a remarkable presence in T20 cricket since 2023.
Moores has played in prestigious leagues such as County Cricket, BPL, LPL, and PSL, and is in outstanding form as both a wicket keeper and batsman. He has scored 2,321 runs in 128 franchise T20s at an average of 23.34, with a highest unbeaten score of 80 runs.
Moores has represented first-class cricket in 78 matches, where he scored 2,681 runs in 123 innings with 7 not out. His highest score of 106 highlights his ability to build long, impactful innings. From a total of 5,245 deliveries, Moores averages 23.1, with 2 centuries and 8 half-centuries in his career, besides 385 fours and 39 sixes.

Moores has represented 29 matches in List A cricket, in which he has played 26 innings, scoring 776 runs with 6 not out. He has a highest score of 76 and an average of 38.8 with a strike rate of 112.0 over 693 balls. He has scored 5 half-centuries, 71 fours, and 35 sixes in this format.
In T20 cricket, he has represented 133 matches, scoring 2,232 runs in 120 innings with 27 not-outs. His highest score is 40, with a batting average of 24.0 and a strike rate of 132.3 over 1,687 balls. In T20s, his spectacular performance also includes 8 half-centuries, 182 fours, and 96 sixes. As a wicketkeeper, Moores has consistently performed, taking 65 catches and completing 19 stumpings in T20 cricket, along with 220 catches and 5 stumpings in first-class cricket, and 27 catches and 5 stumpings in List A matches.
