Ministry of Tourism formed a committee to study Pashupati Dharamsala

KATHMANDU, Oct 23:The Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation has formed up a committee to study the Pashupati Dharamshala.

On Monday, a six-member committee was formed to research and report on the Dharamshala issue, chaired by the ministry's joint secretary and the head of the culture department.

The team includes the executive director of the Pashupati Area Development Trust, the deputy secretary of the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation, and deputy secretaries from the Ministries of Law and Tourism.

The committee's responsibilities include investigating the Gaushala Dharamshala's establishment, reviewing its income and expenditure statements, auditing its status, assets, liabilities, and built structures, and assessing the nature and condition of its flow services.

The committee is also entrusted with reviewing judgments from various courts, authorities, reports from parliamentary committees, and audit reports accumulated over time.

Finally, the committee must investigate land ownership at Gaushala Dharamshala and report to the Minister of Tourism within 30 days.
