Pokhara Tourism Council honored summiteer Tejan Gurung

POKHARA, Oct. 21: The Pokhara Tourism Council has honored summiteer Tejan Gurung for scaling all peaks above 8000 metres. 

Mayor of Pokhara Metropolitan City Dhanraj Acharya and Chairman of Council Taranath Pahari felicitated Gurung amid a function on Sunday in Pokhara.

On the occasion, Mayor Acharya said Gurung's record maintained by scaling the world's tallest peaks was a matter of pride for the nation.

Summiteer Gurung climbed Mt. Sagarmatha, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Kanchenjunga, Mt. Nanga Parbat, Mt. G2, Mt. G1, Mt. Board Peak, Mt. K2, Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Cho Oyu and Mt. Shishapangma at different times.
