About 6000 pilgrims in one day in Pathibhara
KATHMANDU, Oct 21:On Saturday, 5,983 people visited the Pathibhara temple, located at an elevation of 3794 meters. According to the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, this is the highest figure in this season.
Only 5949 pilgrims visited Pathibhara during the month of Asoj. Pilgrims traveling to Pathibhara this year have also been impacted by rains and floods since Asoj 10.
Pathibhara became deserted even during Navaratri as the Panchthar Hewakhola bridge was washed away and the Mechi Highway and Tamor Corridor were cut off. During this season, as well as during Chaite Dashain, a large number of pilgrims visit Pathibhara.
Rajendra Mahat, an employee of the Pathibhara Area Development Committee, said that the rush of visitors, which started at 2 am on Saturday, decreased only after 2 pm.
