Tourists visiting Bandipur get welcomed with indigenous cuisine

KATHMANDU, Oct 20:Bandipur, known as the "Queen of Mountains," has started to welcome tourists with local indigenous cuisine. Because the Bandipur rural municipality office prioritizes traditional crop protection, tourists can easily entertain themselves with native cuisine.

The rural municipality has been implementing a subsidy scheme to enhance income and protect crops by growing mustard, millet, phapar, pindalu, greens, musuro, and other crops.

Surendra Thapa, chairman of the Bandipur Rural Municipality, stated that these products are preferred by both internal and foreign tourists visiting Bandipur, hence they are being promoted. A subsidy program was implemented to enhance the income of local farmers.

Chairman Thapa stated that this year's subsidy program includes subsidies for seeds, machinery support, technical expertise, and sales, with farmers contributing 50% of the cost.

Koseli Ghar operates in Bandipur to sell organic items.
