Senior tourism entrepreneur Basant Raj Mishra passed away

KATHMANDU, Oct 20:Senior tourism entrepreneur, Basant Raj Mishra passed away at the age of 72 during undergoing treatment.

Mishra was hospitalized to Norvic Hospital, Thapathali after contracting dengue a few days earlier.

Mishra's body was cremated today at Pashupati Aryaghat after being kept for two hours at his residence in Kupandol.

Mishra was a key person in Nepal's tourism industry, greatly contributing to its growth. He was the chairman of the Temple Tiger Group of Companies and had been working in the tourism industry since the 1970s.

Mishra was an important player in the establishment of the Nepal Tourism Board, which sought to boost the tourism sector. He was important played a key role in organizing various national and international events to support Nepal's tourist sector over his career.

Mishra has a wife and a son.
