Hatuwagadhi festival to promote local culture, tourism
BHOJPUR, Oct 17: Hatuwagadhi rural municipality in the district has decided to organize the Hatuwagadhi festival from October 19 to November 2.
The festival aims to promote local cultures, traditions as well as tourism, according to the organizer Hatuwagadhi rural municipality and the Bhojpur Commerce and Industry.
Hatuwagadhi rural municipality's Chairperson Prem Kumar Rai shared that the local government had allocated Rs 3 million for the festival.
A 26-km race competition from Maibeni, the lowest point in the district at 153 metres above the sea level, to Godetar bazaar via the highest point in the district Sangkham Jorahal (1,865 metres above the sea level) will be the major feature of the festival.
Various cultural dances will be performed during the two-week event besides exhibition of indigenous musical instruments, Rai added.
