Lumbini Bikas Bank got five awards at the Emerging Asia Banking Awards 2024

KATHMANDU:Lumbini Bikas Bank participated in five out of eight categories at the Indian Chamber of Commerce's second Emerging Asia Banking Awards 2024, achieving wins in all five.

Lumbini Bikas Bank won the title of Best Bank, Best Performance on Risk Management Nepal, Best Performance on Asset Management in Nepal, and runner-up in Best Performance on Profitability Nepal and Best Performance on Growth in Nepal at the Banking Conclave 2024, which was organized by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in New Delhi, India.

Banks from BIMSTEC member countries including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Myanmar, and others competed for the award. The Indian Chamber of Commerce has been distributing this award since last year. According to the bank, the Indian Chamber of Commerce's economic affairs and policy department has developed a number of award criteria. 

Since its foundation, it has won international and national accolades for promoting ethical banking, financial governance, and transparency in banking services, which has strengthened the bank's dignity and prestige.

The bank's director, employees, customers, and regulatory bodies all contributed to the international award. With a paid-up capital of 3.5 billion, the national level development bank operates 89 branches, one extension counter, and 20 ATMs across all seven provinces.
