PM Oli and Ex PM Deuba jointly inaugurate 'Holiday Inn Resort'
KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba jointly inaugurated the newly built 'Holiday Inn Resort' located at Muhanpokhari in Budhanilkanth-1 on Wednesday.
Addressing the inaugural event, Prime Minister Oli said that the resort will help increase the country's tourism, employment and service sector adding that it should be further promoted at national and international level. He called for investment in innovative sectors in the country.
He expressed the belief that tourism in the country will further be enhanced after the two newly constructed international airports resume their services smoothly.
Prime Minister Oli further mentioned that Nepali Congress President Deuba is his old friend for 50 years and a friend he met in difficult and dark days and said that political cooperation is now being done to realize the goal of a democratic, beautiful and civilized society that he saw while he was in prison.
Former Prime Minister Deuba said that the resort, which is an international chain hotel established in a beautiful place, should be promoted widely to attract tourists.
Similarly, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey said that the tourism sector should be developed with the message that Nepal's skies are safe.
Hotel's chairperson Binita Thapa Khadka shared that the 104-room resort was built on 20 ropani land with an investment of Rs. 3.57 billion.
