Resunga Airport flights disruptions during Dashain
KATHMANDU, Oct 09:The flight from Gulmi's Resunga Airport was disrupted in the mouth of Dashain.
Suman Thapa, the station chief of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) at Resunga Airport, stated that flights have been grounded from September 20th due to adverse weather conditions.
Nepal Airlines' Twin Otter aircraft operated between Kathmandu and Gulmi twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays. During periods of significant passenger demand, up to three flights were operated every week. However, flights were now only available on Fridays. That is also now blocked.
A flight to Resunga Airport departs Kathmandu at 6:30 a.m. and returns at 7:45 a.m. According to station chief Thapa, flights were repeatedly disrupted owing to cloud development in the morning.
Many people are returning to their villages during Dashain. But those who wanted to come to Gulmi by plane did not get it.
The ticket from Gulmi to Kathmandu is Rs 7,800, whereas Kathmandu to Gulmi is Rs 7,280.
