IME Group and Global IME Bank donate Rs 50 million to Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund
KATHMANDU:IME Group, Global IME Bank and the associated companies have contributed Rs 50 million to the Prime Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.
On Sunday, Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal of Global IME Bank and IME Group handed Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli with a cheque for Rs 50 million.
A total of 50 million rupees has been provided to the funds of Global IME Bank Limited (45 million), IME Limited (2 million), IGI Prudential Insurance 1.5 million, and IME Life 1.5 million.
Dhakal, the bank's president, stated that the aid was provided in coordination with the government for the relief and rescue of citizens affected by natural disasters in various parts of the country owing to flooding and inundation.
The cheque-handing event was attended by Hemraj Dhakal, Chairman of IME Limited and Managing Director of IME Group, Surendra Raj Regmi, CEO of Global IME Bank, Yugesh Bhakta Bade Shrestha, CEO of IGI Prudential Insurance, Suman Pokharel, Deputy CEO of Global IME Bank, and Dinesh Amatya, Acting CEO of IME Life, among others.
